Actionbioscience.org An education resource of the American Institute of Biological Sciences, aiming to promote literacy.  The site provides peer-reviewed articles by scientists, science educators, and science students in issues related to the seven bioscience challenges: environment, biodiversity, genomics, biotechnology, evolution, new frontiers in science, and bioscience education.  In addition, the web site provides educators with original lessons and other resources to enhance bioscience teaching.  Up-to-date external links are provided at the bottom of each article to help the reader “learn more” about or “get involved” in the issue.  Selected articles are translated into Spanish.

ArtPlantae.com - Practical Botany for Artists This site specializes in botany and botanical art education. It is a valuable resource for anyone with an interest in drawing plants. Artists can learn about plant morphology in the Artist's Herbarium, read book reviews in both the Art Library and the Science Library, and purchase books through the website. The e-newsletter, "Artists' Botany," is published bi-monthly and keeps artists informed about site updates and about artists and events pertaining to botanical art and natural science illustration.
